The Most Reluctant Convert

Misc VideosTim featured this 1× · 2022 · Max McLean · cslewismovie.com

The Most Reluctant Convert. I find C.S. Lewis, best known as author of The Chronicles of Narnia, endlessly fascinating. This film paints a rich picture of his life, and even though I don’t self-identify as religious and didn’t understand a few of the logical leaps, I was blown away by Max McLean’s (@MaxMcLeanNYC) performance. From the description: “Experience C.S. Lewis’ profound journey from vigorous debunker of Christianity to become, as he said, ‘the most reluctant convert in all England.’ Through Max McLean’s detailed and masterful performance, Lewis tells his story of grief, loss and rede— Tim Ferriss

The Young Pope

The Young Pope (Amazon, HBO, Hulu), starring Jude Law. The writing in this blew me away, the direction and cinematography are gorgeous, and even the costume design will grab your attention, especially Jude’s “Ferraris.” Above all, perhaps, the whole series is very odd, which makes it extra mesmerizing. I found the first 5–6 episodes to be the strongest, and even if you have no intention of watching the whole shebang, the first two episodes are well worth the time. One has to imagine that Jude had the time of his life playing this character.— Tim Ferriss
